Greetings from ASSI!

Case presentations and in-depth case analysis with a constructive take home message has become the main academic attraction in the ASSICONs. Keeping this tradition we have 22 case presentations with panelist discussions at ASSICON 2025. The case presentations are designated as CHARCHE sessions at the ASSICON 2025

One of the observations of the programme committee has been the inadequately worked up cases presented in these case presentations. To have more fruitful discussions and conclusions the programme committee has proposed to have all the case presentations to be sent to the ASSI scientific committee via email.

As an initiative, the programme committee of ASSICON 2025 proposes to invite case submissions from all ASSi members.

The programme committee has suggested that a junior fellow/registrar to present the fully worked up case and the senior faculty be present in the Hall for discussion. In this regard, the age limit for the presenter shall be 35 years.

We would request all ASSI members to participate in this new ASSI venture and send cases with good learning points for the CHARCHE sessions at ASSICON 2025. The Instructions for delegates for submission of cases are enclosed.

Instructions for delegates for submission of cases:

The delegates need to send a powerpoint file containing the completely worked up case to the email ID assicon2025scientific@gmail.com The last date for the submissions is 31st October 2025.

Guidelines

• Slide 0: title of the case, Institution, presenting author and co-author.
• Slide1- history, clinical examination positive findings, relevant images on right half of the slide.
• Slide - 2 - extra images/ lab results pointing towards diagnosis.
• Slide 3 - treatment/ surgical options.
• Slide 4 - results of surgery/ treatment given. Intra, postoperative images.
• Slide 5- follow up results/complications with 3/6months images.
• Slide 6,7- relevant studies- recent review articles/ meta-analysis.
• Kindly send all the relevant images with good take-home messages.
• The case submission can be in any category.
• Preferably you can categorize it into complications (implant related, wrong levels, neural injuries, vascular injuries etc), spinal infections, spinal tumors, Degenerative disorders, congenital disorders, spinal deformities including high grade listhesis
• The cases will be selected by a review process and the delegate will be informed of the selection by 15^th Nov 2024.
• The selected cases will be mailed to the moderator and the panelists.
• The moderator in discussion with the panelists will prepare a take-home message slide at the end of each case.
